Cleaning the existing carpet was a pain in the ass especially spending much time in the mountain. The dust and soil would just get trap in between the fibre of the carpet. My partner wanted to lay another protective sheet over the carpet but I was against it. Finally after much window shopping at the hardware store, I saw this laminated sheet. It was thin and have an adhesive side. The beauty is that it is easy to cut out the shape I needed. The whole effort took me less than half hour to complete minus the work for getting the soil off the carpet. I did not do the whole deck but just the area where our feet has most contact that is the passenger seat and the rear compartment.
